Hi, I’m Lauren Patrice Nadler

This is my story.

I grew up in Queens, New York. Like many little girls, I dreamed of becoming a ballerina. I trained in ballet and tap for over 12 years—until the rebel in me took over. I got into trouble, struggled in school, and veered off course. But those early missteps became formative life experiences that ultimately led me to acting.

There was a time I wanted to be a rockstar. That dream felt unrealistic then—but I know now: nothing is impossible. Never let anyone thwart your dreams.

I threw myself into acting, studying rigorously for years while navigating the hustle of New York City with very little guidance. I was fortunate to train with some extraordinary teachers, most notably Karen Ludwig—Uta Hagen’s key student—who became a foundational mentor and instilled in me the craft’s depth, discipline, and emotional truth.

Exploring Opportunities

My love for acting remained strong, but a series of opportunities led me to explore other facets of the entertainment industry. I began casting, including casting Adrien Brody in his first lead role before he became an Oscar winner. I also worked as an Assistant Director on numerous indie films, gaining invaluable insight into what it really takes to bring a story to life.

Eventually, I found my way into directing—both in film and theater. I've directed numerous short films many of which have been nominated at film festivals internationlly. These include One Last Shot, a powerful short addressing bullying and suicide prevention, and a breakout project featuring Kyle Allen and Alex Neustaedter before their rise to prominence—Kyle later starred in A Haunting in Venice, elevating him to A-list status.

Directorial Debut

My LA directorial debut, El Mariachi Negro, a multicultural romantic comedy, was shot in collaboration with veteran cinematographer Don E. FauntLeRoy and screened at the Cultures Collide Community Film Festival in NYC.

Teaching

My deep passion for teaching began with a realization—that I could unlock buried emotion and personal truth in actors—evolved into a fulfilling career as a coach and mentor. Many of my students have gone on to land major roles in series like American Horror Story, Pretty Little Liars, GLEE, The Path, True Blood, Outer Banks, Runaways, Into the Badlands, This Is Us, Insatiable, Supergirl, American Rust, and more. Others have starred in feature films like Ender’s Game, Accidental Texan, Spielberg’s West Side Story, The Holdovers, and It Ends With Us.

I bring a director’s understanding of the filmmaking process to every coaching session. I know how to draw authentic, layered performances from actors—on stage, on set, and in the audition room. Whether it’s comedy or drama, I thrive on helping talent reach their fullest potential.

My work in live theater includes acclaimed productions such as Lobby Hero (Kenneth Lonergan), Tape (Stephen Belber), The Dreamer Examines His Pillow and Four Dogs and a Bone (John Patrick Shanley), Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen (Tennessee Williams), and more.

I produced and directed the award-winning digital series It’s You, Not Me, a romantic comedy about online dating featuring an all-alumni cast from LPN Studios—many of whom have since become recognizable names. I’m also the creator of Makin’ a Movie, a live improvised comedy show that ran for over 10 years and transitioned successfully online during the pandemic, starring my comedy troupe The MaD JaCKRaTS.

And Here I am

Now based in Los Angeles, I’m always in motion—developing, prepping, or wrapping projects while running my acting studio, coaching private clients, and nurturing a community I’ve come to think of as my acting army. I’m currently completed my second proof-of-concept film in six months and remain committed to championing powerful storytelling and creating bold, original work with artists who are ready to soar.
